THE CLASSES WE OFFER
The San Joaquin Valley Rural Development Center - a subsidiary of the Office of Community and Economic Development at Fresno State - has provided California's school districts in urban and rural communities the opportunity to engage in Fresno State Parent University since 2013. In addition, school districts and school sites throughout California have committed funding for parent digital literacy, parenting skills, and leadership/engagement under the Parent University model.
Since its inception, over 9,300 parents have participated in our courses. Each one was created with the intent to equip parents with tools to advance them and their families. All of our classes are under the direction and oversight of the Fresno State Parent University representatives and instructors.
• Classes are offered in a variety of languages: English, Spanish, Hmong, Punjabi, Triqui, and Mixtec.
